The symposium is the 12th such symposium sponsored by the International Hard Anodizing Association. The association was founded in 1989 as a means for companies engaged in the production of hard anodized finishes on aluminum components and the suppliers to those companies to promote common interests, advance the process of hard anodizing and to develop technical and general information about hard anodizing.
